What a Way to Go

We have been camping for around 3 years using a 2016 32’ travel trailer.  We love the camping experience having spent a winter in Arizona and California and a winter in Florida and places in between. The first winter we traveled with our two small Papillons and a 285 lb St Bernard. The St Bernard, Zeus, decided from the moment he arrived in a campground until he left that it was his and no one else was welcome. At home he is very friendly and easy to deal with, but on the road not so much. The next to last week of our trip he tore the ACL in his left leg and we managed to get home with pain meds. Tearing an ACL in a human is no joke, but in a large dog it is a major problem. $7K worth of surgery and a lot of rehab later he’s good as new, but will be taking no more winter vacations. He'll stay home with one of our daughters that he adores and we’ll travel with the Papillons, Midge and Jake. Jake loves everyone; Midge is not so sure, but will eventually warm up to most people.

We can’t wait to get on the road with our Solitude 344GK-R. For various reasons that’s an impossibility this year, but next year is coming. We did do a shakedown trip to Branson and only found some minor problems. It goes back in the shop today to fix those. We’re thrilled with it and can’t wait for next spring.
