The countdown has officially begun! Soon, we’ll all be ringing in the New Year - and hopefully having fun at the same time. Sure, you could do the usual routine at home: watching the ball drop in Times Square on TV while eating an entire pint of ice cream (we don’t judge), and most likely falling asleep before midnight.
But you own an RV. So why not break the monotonous cycle, and spend New Year’s Eve somewhere new and exciting?
Whether you’re on the east coast or the west coast, there are a ton of fabulous places to spend New Year’s Eve in your RV. These are five of the best places to celebrate the new year while camping in your RV.
1. Wine Country RV Resort, California

While you will want to be at Tybee Pier on New Year’s Eve, not far from there is River’s End Campground, allowing you access to the bustle of the pier as well as the solace of your campsite. They are one of the best campgrounds in the area, offering RV sites with full hook-ups, water, 30 or 50 amp electrical service, standard cable, and sewer so you can take advantage of all of your RV amenities.
After you’ve rested by the campfire, walk the half-mile to the Tybee Pier and Pavilion for the New Year’s celebration. Then, when you tire of the crowds, you can easily walk back to your RV for rest and relaxation.
4. Panama City Beach RV Resort, Florida
While your friends and family at home are busy shoveling snow, imagine yourself strolling white sand beaches and splashing in the waters of the Gulf of Mexico in one of the most beautiful destinations in Florida. That is what awaits you when you reserve a campsite at Panama City Beach RV Resort.

It may surprise you to learn that the falls are just as magical during the winter, and lots of people flock there to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The iced-over falls and colorful light displays are sure to delight you when you visit the Canadian side (which visitors claim to be the most breathtaking) - just be sure to remember your passport.
Between Niagara Falls and Buffalo, New York, you can find Branches of Niagara Campground Resort, which is one of the most highly rated RV parks in the area. The campground has an activity center to entertain the little ones, a general store for snacks and supplies, and three clean, heated bathhouses.
Should you stay at this pristine campground, it is just a 21-minute drive to the Canadian side of Niagara Falls (where you can experience fireworks and live music in Queen Victoria Park). Or, if you simply want to see the icy falls, you can visit the New York side by driving 13 minutes from the campground.
RV camping during the winter is possible, especially if you travel somewhere warmer (though Niagara Falls is worth the cold, we promise). And with such an abundance of RV parks in the U.S., there is bound to be one near you with plans to celebrate the new year.
