Grand Design RV had a wild and busy September, and if you're an RV owner, you might already know about last month’s RV events. In case you aren’t aware, it is a time of year when RV owners from all over, come together to share their love of camping and travel. If you couldn't make it to any of the shows or rallies this year, don't worry – we've got you covered. Here's a recap of everything you missed during this season.
Grand Design RV National Rally – 8/31-9/2
At the beginning of September, Grand Design RV held its 8th annual national rally in Goshen, Indiana. With more than 1,200 people in attendance, this rally was perfect for new and experienced Grand Design RV owners looking for community and information about their RV.
With service technicians on-site at the Rally, owners were able to discuss any warranty and/or part needs. Owners also had the opportunity to walk through vendor booths to check out new products and innovations available to purchase after market. They also enjoyed educational seminars led by influential people in the industry and many took advantage of the factory tours led by familiar Grand Design faces.
Guests loved the opportunity to get to know Grand Design employees and other RV owners during the Thursday night fireside chat. Everyone brought their camping chairs to hear Grand Design RV President and CEO, Don Clark, talk and answer questions about their RVs as well as the new floorplans to come. Product managers were also present to answer questions from the crowd. Overall, it was a rich, hands-on experience.
For Grand Design RV owners that want to connect with other RVers and educate themselves about the products, the GDRV National Rally should not be missed.
Hershey RV Supershow – 9/14-9/18
Later in September, we headed to the Hershey RV Supershow in Pennsylvania. This event hosts many different vendors and RV manufacturers, making it perfect for new and current RVers looking to browse or buy.
This event is notorious for us to debut our new floor plans, exterior graphics, and interior décor – including the BRAND NEW Imagine AIM travel trailers which focus on mid-sized SUV owners!
The Hershey RV Supershow provided guests with an opportunity to ask dealer partners and on-site sales associates questions about their RVs. Our partnering dealer, Meyers RV, were happy to assist owners and their existing units, answer questions, and demo product features, as well.
Because we are committed to quality, we love hearing customer feedback about our products at this event – good and bad. It will allow us to make meaningful improvements to our floorplans and products moving forward.

Dealer Open House – 9/26-9/29
Our last stop during RV show season was the Dealer Open House in Elkhart, Indiana. This RV event is held for our RV dealer partners to explore industry updates and trends for the year ahead.
Similar to the Hershey RV Supershow, we utilize this event to showcase new brands, floorplans, interior décor, and exterior paint graphics. This allows dealers a first look at the new models coming their way.
Dealers are drawn to this event not only review the new models and trends to market but to make connections with other dealer partners. Manufacturers plan for this event in advance while bringing in entertainment like Duke Tumatoe and Sammy Hagar. These opportunities create an incredible and unforgettable experience.
There's no shortage of fun and adventure when you're traveling in an RV – and this includes attending some of the biggest RV rallies and shows in the United States. Whether you're into camping, hiking, fishing or just enjoying the scenery, there is something for just about everyone at each of the events.
