In July 2018, we finally made it to Portland, Maine! We were excited to be meeting up with the first friends we ever made on the road at Bayley’s Camping Resort. Located in Scarborough, Maine, Bayley’s was the most expensive campground we had been to yet! We paid about $90 a day to stay at Bayley’s, which was way out of our normal comfort range! The campground would be great for families, but wasn’t exactly our cup of tea…kids and chaos going on all around us. The park is huge (700 sites!) and does offer a long list of amenities - 4 pools, one adult- only pool, multiple playgrounds, activities for both kids and adults, kayaking, fishing and a huge general store with an impressive selection of beer and wine.
