Quick, Easy and Delicious French Toast

Life on the road is fantastic, the place you go, people you meet,  and all the incredible scenery and experiences along the way. Though one question I get often is how I deal with always eating out on the road. My answer if simple; we rarely eat out. Our Imagine trailer has such an amazing kitchen area it makes cooking so easy and fun that I actually prefer to cook then try to eat out. Over then next several weeks I will be posting some of my favorite recipes, though I figured I would start you all off which a simple, yet delicious breakfast meal: French Toast. 



The beauty of French Toast is it’s simplicity, small amount of ingredients and quick prep/ cook time, and you get to eat it with my favorite  Maple Syrup. 


Ingredients



  • 2 cups milk (or alternative nut milk)

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoons vanilla extract

  • 10 thick slices of French bread sliced, (you can use different types of bread such as Challah or Brioche, or for an extra touch use a Cinnamon swirl bread.


Instructions



  • Whisk milk and eggs together in a large mixing bowl.

  • Add in cinnamon, and vanilla. Whisk until smooth.

  • Heat a lightly oiled pan over medium high heat.

  • Soak bread slices slightly in mixture until lightly saturated.

  • Cook bread on both sides until golden brown.

  • Serve with maple syrup. To add some extra flair add berries and whipped cream.
