Fall in the Smoky Mountains!

October 2019 - When we visit the Smoky Mountains, we usually stay in Western North Carolina to be near Chad’s parents. This time, we spent 10 days at Lake Junaluska Campground in Waynesville to camp with some friends and then we moved over to The Great Outdoors RV Resort in Franklin, NC to be closer to Chad’s mom and dad. Every year in the fall, we plan our trip to hopefully see the leaves change colors. This year (just like last), the leaves were slow to change because it didn’t get cold enough. While waiting for Autumn to show it’s colors, we went on some motorcycle rides (we LOVE riding in the Smokies!), met up with some other friends at a winery, attended Franklin’s Pumpkin Festival and Pickin’ on the Square and explored Sylva and Highlands, NC. We finally got to see some beautiful fall foliage near the end of our visit and enjoyed it the most on a drive up to Highlands. We had an amazing time catching up with several RVing friends (and made some new ones), getting in some good family time and enjoying the small-town vibe of Franklin, NC This video is a special one for us because we bring you a place that is near and dear to our hearts. We hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
